I am a hairstylist specializing in retro/vintage hairstyles for women & men. I am also a salon owner. I have recently opened Moxie Beauty & Hair Parlor in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I enjoy collecting vintage hairstyling books and magazines, as well as vintage textbooks. I have a fascination for traditional barbering and believe barbering is an art and that the skills of a barber should never be lost or "sideswiped" by in & out chain salons. I enjoy what I do and I believe in elegance, glamour, and classic beauty. I have written 2 books on retro hairstyling. I have a book for women called "Set & Style, Retro Beauty Basics" and a book for men called "Grease It Up, Men's Hair from 1920-1950".
