I'm still somewhat new to the world of hairstyling.

Sure, I've been cutting hair since I was 10, and I highlighted my friends hair in high school, but I've only been licensed since January 09.

My passion for this industry is huge. I am hair, hair, and more hair. And everyone that knows me sees that.

I am 110% dedicated to my salon and my hair blog, Laurendoeshair.com

Do you wish you had a free assistant? Now you can ... I wanted to share my new book, Shear Savvy Secrets and Strategies for Successful Salon Apprenticeships with you. The book was formatted for the state of Michigan and teaches you how to start and run an apprenticeship program in your salon in six simple steps.

Having an apprentice in the salon allows you to share your knowledge and salon philosophy, provide service to more clients in a day, increase your income and decrease your expenses.

Please visit www.cosmetologyapprenticeship.com for more information.

Hey Lauren

As a well seasoned hair stylist you've attended your share of beauty shows and conventions I'm sure.

I resently wrote a article tittled: Are beauty shows really worth your time. And I would love to hear your comment.

When you have time please give it a quick read and let me know what you think? It's post in the "education section" here.

PS: we all stand on one another's shoulders, thats how your profession grows and evolves.
